Rocky Mountain has gone 8-2 against Meridian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Grizzlies will host the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Rocky Mountain had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the nine-run drubbing they dealt Kuna on Thursday. The Grizzlies put the hurt on the Kavemen with a sharp 13-4 win. The Grizzlies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by six runs or more this season.
Reece Hudson looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Aiden Henzler was a standout: he scored three runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeff Thompson, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, Meridian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 13-12 heartbreaker at the hands of Ridgevue. On the bright side, the 12- run effort marked the Warriors' highest-scoring match to date.
Bodee Randall was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Randall was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base.
Randall wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Blake Sims, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Another was Carter Byington, who scored a run while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
Rocky Mountain's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Meridian, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.
Rocky Mountain was able to grind out a solid win over Meridian when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 9-5. Do the Grizzlies have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
