Wilson Prep never got on the board in their matchup on Tuesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Warren County on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 62-41 win. Wilson Prep pushed the score to 49-27 by the end of the third, a deficit Warren County cut but never quite recovered from.
Wilson Prep found their leader in underclassman Nakiya Boston, who scored 24 points along with six rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Boston has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jessica Atkinson, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Weldon can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent contest on Wednesday. They blew past Rocky Mount Prep 54-32.
Wilson Prep's win bumped their record up to 5-15. As for Weldon, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.
