The Lewis Central Titans will be home for the holidays to greet the Glenwood Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Last Tuesday, Lewis Central was the victim of a tough 71-47 loss at the hands of Norwalk. While losing is never fun, Lewis Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 94th, while Norwalk is ranked 30th).
Meanwhile, Glenwood unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of Plattsmouth by a score of 50-48. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Glenwood has scored all season.
Lewis Central's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-2. As for Glenwood, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
Lewis Central didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Glenwood when the teams last played back in February, but they still walked away with a 53-48 victory. Will Lewis Central repeat their success, or does Glenwood have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
