It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Lemon Bay Manta Rays had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They strolled past the Tigers with points to spare, taking the game 55-41.
Leading Lemon Bay to victory were Cooper Benedict and Elias Gambrell. Benedict scored six points along with 11 rebounds and seven assists, while Gambrell almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds. Amry Wells was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Lemon Bay is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 11-14 record this season. As for Clewiston, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.
Lemon Bay's road trip will continue as they head out to face Estero on February 8th. Hopefully Lemon Bay focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday. Clewiston does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
