The Pittsfield Panthers lost against the Franklin Tornadoes back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Pittsfield took a hard 53-35 fall against the Tornadoes.
When it comes to explaining why Pittsfield lost, one person who can't be blamed is Brayden Pelletier. Despite the final result, he scored 18 points. That was a full 51.4% of Pittsfield's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Justin Rivera, who scored nine points.
Pittsfield's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Franklin, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.
Pittsfield will face off against the Mules at TBD on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in New Hampshire (Newmarket is ranked 67th, while the Panthers are ranked 86th). As for Franklin, they will be playing at home against the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
