The Moapa Valley Pirates put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by Lincoln County on the road to the tune of 68-30. Considering Moapa Valley has won three contests by more than 32 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Andie Wood went supernova for Moapa Valley, scoring 27 points along with 6 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Claire Cox, who scored 15 points.
Lincoln County's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Kaylyn Segler, who scored 8 points along with 3 steals, and Emma Bleak who scored 6 points along with 5 rebounds.
Moapa Valley's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Lincoln County, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Moapa Valley will be playing in front of their home fans against Dixie at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Dixie focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 30 on Friday. As for Lincoln County, they will head out on the road to face off against American Heritage Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
