The Portland Highlanders will head out on the road to face off against the Westbrook Knights at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Portland is no doubt hoping to put an end to a 12-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Tuesday, Portland lost to Hale Ray on the road by a decisive 41-23 margin. Portland has struggled against Hale Ray recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Westbrook was the victim of a tough 49-26 loss at the hands of Lyman Memorial on Wednesday.
Portland's loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Westbrook, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season.
Things could have been worse for Portland, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 40-25 loss to Westbrook in their previous meeting back in January. Can Portland avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
