After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Doyle, Ponchatoula was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over the Northlake Christian Wolverines. Abby Dagro was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run.
In other batting news, Olivia Hutchinson was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Faye Boihem was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double.
