The Exeter Tigers had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They strolled past Jefferson Independent Day with points to spare, taking the game 53-35. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Exeter also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2023.
Jefferson Independent Day's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jack Twiss, who scored 15 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Spencer Long, who scored ten points.
Exeter is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-11 record this season. As for Jefferson Independent Day, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-20.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Verona the next time they take the court. Exeter will host Verona at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Jefferson Independent Day will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
