They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Cibola 52-22 at home. The victory was nothing new for Las Cruces as they're now sitting on three straight.
It was another big night for Bethzy Quinones, who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. Those nine rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Ryan Rodriguez was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six steals.
Las Cruces has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Cibola, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Las Cruces won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Hobbs at 7:00 p.m. on January 5th. Hobbs has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 913 points over their last 12 contests. As for Cibola, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Manzano at 2:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Mexico (Manzano is ranked 99th, while Cibola is ranked 110th).
