On Thursday, The Hamlin Chargers faced the Bon Homme Cavaliers in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Hamlin took their game at home with ease, bagging a 52-8 victory over Bon Homme. The result was nothing new for Hamlin, who have now won eight matchups by 35 points or more so far this season.
Tyson Stevenson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 91 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 145 yards and two touchdowns. Luke Fraser was another key contributor, gaining 94 total yards and two touchdowns.
Hamlin's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Leading the way was Zac VanMeeteren and his two sacks.
The win makes it two in a row for Hamlin and bumps their season record up to 8-1. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 47 points. As for Bon Homme, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
Hamlin will square off against Wall at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wall will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak. Bon Homme does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
