Even though East Rowan scored an imposing 63 points on Tuesday, Lake Norman Charter still came out on top. Lake Norman Charter enjoyed a cozy 77-63 victory over East Rowan. Given Lake Norman Charter's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 262nd, while East Rowan is ranked 565th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Braylon Irelan and Major Leak were among the main playmakers for Lake Norman Charter as the former scored 24 points and the latter scored 16 points along with 6 steals. Leak continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Collin Mcconneyhead was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Northwest Cabarrus' good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 68-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of Concord.
