Christ the King is 0-10 against Lincoln Charter since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Christ the King Crusaders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lincoln Charter Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Christ the King scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They walked away with an 81-73 victory over Community School of Davidson.
Christ the King got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Marco Tampoya out in front who dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten rebounds. Tampoya hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Parker Ryan was another key contributor, scoring 27 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Lincoln Charter didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Bradford Prep on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 65-60 victory. Given Lincoln Charter's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 112th, while Bradford Prep is ranked 261st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lincoln Charter to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cairo Morales, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was David Reed IV, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds.

Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as the two teams are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Christ the King hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 60.1 points per game. However, it's not like Lincoln Charter struggles in that department as they've been averaging 67.4 points per game. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
Christ the King came up short against Lincoln Charter when the teams last played back in January, falling 65-60. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Lincoln Charter's Kelan Flowers, who scored 25 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Now that Christ the King knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
