The Aliceville Yellowjackets will head out on the road to take on the Tuscaloosa Academy Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tuscaloosa Academy took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Aliceville, who comes in off a win.
Last Tuesday, Aliceville got the win against the Saints by a conclusive 53-28.
Aliceville's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Lamark Richardson, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and three blocks, and Tyquan Simon, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Davien Jones, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Tuscaloosa Academy, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 67-50 loss to the Patriots on Wednesday.
Aliceville's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Tuscaloosa Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 15-6.
Aliceville barely slipped by the Knights when the teams last played last Friday, winning 48-47. The rematch might be a little tougher for Aliceville since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
