The Sterne Dolphins's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight defeat. They were outmatched by Wallenberg at home and fell 65-26. If Sterne was looking for revenge after losing 62-20 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Several Dolphins players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Rico Duenas, who scored eight points.
Sterne dropped their record down to 2-13 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.0 points per game. As for Wallenberg, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 13-8.
Sterne will head out on the road to take on the Jaguars at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. June Jordan School of Equity is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Wallenberg, they will be playing at home against the Bears at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
