The Fort Bend Clements Rangers will look to defend their home field on Saturday against the Fort Bend Dulles Vikings at 11:00 a.m. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 71-13, which was the final score in Fort Bend Clements' tilt against Fort Bend Hightower on Friday. Fort Bend Clements was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-6.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. Meanwhile, Fort Bend Dulles' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell 21-12 to Fort Bend Elkins.
The losing side was boosted by Camden Ross, who rushed for 130 yards and a touchdown.
Fort Bend Clements' defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 3-6. The slump could be explained by some tough opposition over that stretch, namely Fort Bend Hightower, Ridge Point, and Fort Bend Austin. As for Fort Bend Dulles, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.
Fort Bend Clements didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Fort Bend Dulles in their previous matchup back in November of 2022, but they still walked away with a 35-31 victory.
