The Parsons Christian Academy Lions were the 57-44 winner over the Meadowbrook Academy Mustangs when they last played one another back in January of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. Parsons Christian Academy took a serious blow against the Mustangs on Thursday, falling 69-42.
It was another big night for Tico Smith, who scored 32 points along with seven steals and five rebounds for Meadowbrook Academy. Smith is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last 18 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Gaige Daugherty, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Parsons Christian Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Meadowbrook Academy, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-8.
Parsons Christian Academy is on the road again on Tuesday and plays the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th. As for Meadowbrook Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Temple Christian Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
