After flying high against the McLaurin Tigers last Friday, The Southeast Lauderdale Tigers came back down to earth. Southeast Lauderdale was outmatched by Noxubee County at home and fell 46-6. Having soared to a lofty 42 points in the game before, Southeast Lauderdale couldn't push the score so high this time.
It was another big night for Kamario Taylor, who threw for 185 yards and four touchdowns while completing 81.8% of his passes. Taylor is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last four games he's played.
Southeast Lauderdale's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 2-8. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 6.0 points per game. As for Noxubee County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.
Southeast Lauderdale will head out on the road to face off against Kemper County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Kemper County's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last five matches. As for Noxubee County, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against McLaurin at 7:00 p.m. McLaurin has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since August 25.
