The New Richmond Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 79-47 loss at the hands of Purcell Marian. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss New Richmond has suffered yet this season.
Several Lions players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Luke Wolf, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Cohen Manning, who scored nine points.
New Richmond has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Purcell Marian, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.
New Richmond will be playing in front of their home fans against Hughes at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Hughes focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 last Tuesday. Purcell Marian will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against La Salle at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. La Salle is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
