UMS-Wright Prep strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They put the hurt on the McGill-Toolen Yellowjackets with a sharp 11-1 win. UMS-Wright Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .630. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as McGill-Toolen only posted an OBP of .235.
UMS-Wright Prep's record now sits at 3-0. As for McGill-Toolen, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the defeat, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. UMS-Wright Prep will head out to square off against Cottage Hill Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for McGill-Toolen, they will be taking part in a tournament against Robertsdale at 5:50 p.m. on Friday.
