The Glynn Academy Terrors lost against the Ware County Gators back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Glynn Academy fell to Ware County 53-48. While losing is never fun, Glynn Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 276th, while Ware County is ranked 64th).
Despite the loss, Glynn Academy saw an underclassman step up: Martin Davis scored 15 points. Davis scored a full 31.3% of Glynn Academy's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyra Page, who scored 9 points along with 3 steals.
Glynn Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Ware County, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glynn Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against McIntosh County Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 2nd. As for Ware County, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Brantley County at 6:00 p.m.
