The Robertsdale Golden Bears's three-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 47-23 margin over Citronelle. The victory was just what Robertsdale needed coming off of a 63-17 loss in their prior game.
Robertsdale's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Shaunte Sanders, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. Hannah Johansen was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals.
Robertsdale's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Citronelle, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Robertsdale will take on Fairhope at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Fairhope is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Citronelle, they will be playing at home against Leroy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
