The Culver City Centaurs will venture away from home to face off against the Santa Monica Vikings at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Culver City's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Beverly Hills 21-0. Winning may never get old, but the Centaurs sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Adriana Martinez and Anyah Francis made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Martinez tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Francis pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single earned run in five consecutive appearances. At the plate, Martinez went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run, while Francis got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those three runs gave Francis a new career-high.
