The Bellville Brahmas lost against the Needville Bluejays back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The match between Bellville and Needville wasn't particularly close, with Bellville falling 50-32. While losing is never fun, Bellville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1041st, while Needville is ranked 312th).
Needville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Keilan Sweeny, who scored eight points along with six assists and five steals. Sweeny is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last ten games he's played. Bohdan Zeitz was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds.
Bellville has not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Needville, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 21-5.
