The Andrews Wildcats will be home for the holidays to greet the Cherokee Braves at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Andrews has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Andrews scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Nantahala 78-28 on the road. Andrews might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won four games by 26 points or more this season.
Jailen Powell continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 16 points. That's the first time this season that he scored 15 or more points. Cameron Rattler was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Cherokee at home against Blue Ridge Early College on Tuesday as the squad secured a 92-44 victory.
Andrews' victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-0. As for Cherokee, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Andrews was able to grind out a solid win over Cherokee in their previous meeting back in January, winning 59-47. Does Andrews have another victory up their sleeve, or will Cherokee turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
