Baseball Recap: Erie's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Erie had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They blew past the Skyline Falcons 10-1. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Kaden Bertsch looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Austin Muir was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Kyler Colbert also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Erie hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Skyline struck out eight times.

Erie's record now sits at 14-5. As for Skyline, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11-1.

Looking ahead, Erie will head out to square off against Longmont at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Skyline, they will host Fairview at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
