Wenatchee had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 17-6 margin over the Eastmont Wildcats. While the Panthers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Wenatchee got a massive performance out of Brock Toftness, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits Toftness has posted since back in April of 2024. Thomas Ivey was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI and one stolen base.

Wenatchee always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .531 or higher in four consecutive matches.

Wenatchee's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Eastmont, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Coming up, Wenatchee will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Sunnyside at 4:00 p.m. Wenatchee is facing Sunnyside at the right time seeing as Sunnyside is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Eastmont, they will face off against Davis at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Davis has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.8 runs per game on average), something Eastmont will no doubt try to take advantage of.
