Softball Recap: Depaul College Prep Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask DePaul College Prep). They never let the Maine East Blue Demons get on the board and left with an 11-0 victory on Monday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Rams as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Kylie Johnson was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That hit was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Lauren Steele, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

DePaul College Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .692. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Maine East only posted an OBP of .250.

DePaul College Prep's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Maine East, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, DePaul College Prep will head out to face off against Nazareth Academy at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Maine East, they will be playing at home against Rolling Meadows at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
