Prospect Ridge Academy is 0-9 against Colorado Academy since April of 2017 but things could change on Tuesday. The Miners will head out on the road to face off against the Mustangs at 3:30 p.m. Prospect Ridge Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.9 runs per game this season.
Prospect Ridge Academy was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Liberty Common on Monday. The Miners blew past the Eagles 14-2. The Miners might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by 11 runs or more this season.

Avery Stark made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Zeke Bote was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. He has become a key player for Prospect Ridge Academy: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 1-2 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Sean Graham, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Prospect Ridge Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .409. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Colorado Academy was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They fell just short of The Academy by a score of 4-2. The loss was the Mustangs' first of the season.
Riley Summers made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to triples, as he's now hit at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Will McCandless also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
Prospect Ridge Academy's record is now 5-2. As for Colorado Academy, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Prospect Ridge Academy has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.7 hits per game. However, it's not like Colorado Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 3 hits.
