It was a good run, but Chicago Tech unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 51-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Clemente. Chicago Tech lost against Clemente in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 54-48 score last time.
Despite the loss, Chicago Tech still got an impressive performance from Jonathan Harris, who scored 15 points. Harris scored a full 31.9% of Chicago Tech's points, the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylen Willard, who scored nine points.
Chicago Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Clemente, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-6.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Douglass the next time they take the court. Chicago Tech will head out to face Douglass at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Clemente will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
