The Garfield G-Men put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They blew past Brookfield, posting a 60-25 victory at home. Fans of Garfield have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Keegan Sell continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 324 yards and five touchdowns on only 13 carries, while also picking up 37 receiving yards. Sell's longest rush was for an incredible 74 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Eric Geddes, who rushed for 131 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.
Garfield's win was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 10-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.6 points per game. As for Brookfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
Garfield will be playing in front of their home fans against Conneaut at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Brookfield, they will head out on the road to face off against United at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in United's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last four games.
