After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Colfax, Foresthill was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Leroy Greene Academy Lions as they made off with a 17-7 victory. The Wildfires haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Lynnsey Drone made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Those hits marked the first that she allowed this season. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Ella Lorance was a standout: she scored three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Bella Case was another key player, scoring four runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Foresthill always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Foresthill now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Leroy Greene Academy, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-6.

Coming up, Foresthill will welcome Buckingham Charter at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Leroy Greene Academy, they will venture away from home to take on Elite at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The match will give the Lions their first taste of in-conference action this season.
