The Frostproof Bulldogs and the Seffner Christian Crusaders squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but sadly the Frostproof Bulldogs had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Crusaders by a score of 74-71. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
When it comes to explaining why Frostproof lost, one person who can't be blamed is Sevastian Rosado. Despite the final result, he scored 35 points along with five assists and three steals. That was a full 49.3% of Frostproof's points, marking the 13th time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Turral Berry, who scored 21 points.
Frostproof are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-8. As for Seffner Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 12-14.
Frostproof does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Seffner Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against Santa Fe Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Santa Fe Catholic's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 17 contests.
