Softball Recap: Joshua Has No Trouble Against Everman

While Joshua put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Everman. The Owls were the clear victors by a 19-0 margin over the Bulldogs. The result was nothing new for the Owls, who have now won nine contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Serenity Vaught was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Zaylee Masters was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Molly Young was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.

Joshua now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Everman, they dropped their record down to 2-20-1 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home.

Coming up, Joshua will head out on the road to square off against Burleson at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Elks will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Owls surely won't give up without a fight. Everman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
