The Langtree Charter Lions had to endure a 21-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They blew past Gray Stone Day 59-30 at home. That looming 59-30 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Langtree Charter yet this season.
Anthony Nesbit was his usual excellent self, scoring eight points along with seven assists and five rebounds. Nesbit set a new season high mark in rebounds with five. Another player making a difference was Garrett Barbee, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
Langtree Charter's victory ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-8. As for Gray Stone Day, they bumped their record down to 0-6 with that defeat, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Langtree Charter won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Corvian Community at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th. Hopefully Corvian Community focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Friday. Gray Stone Day will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on East Rowan at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2024.
