Florence had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They never let the Ray Bearcats get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory on Wednesday. That's more bragging rights for the Gophers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Adrian Rodriguez was a standout: he scored two runs while going 2-for-2. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024. Ryin Leopoldino was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Florence always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .645. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ray only posted an OBP of .091.

Florence has already played their next game, a 6-1 win against San Manuel on the 27th. As for Ray, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 7-1 loss against Thatcher on the 27th.
