Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Anaya Jones, who scored seven points along with 16 rebounds. Yahdi Lujan was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with four steals.
It was another big night for Lyndsie Bosquez, who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds and three steals for Crystal City. Bosquez is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Bela Tapia, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and four steals.
Natalia has been struggling recently, as they've lost 12 of their last 14 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-17 record this season. As for Crystal City, they now have a winning record of 13-12.
Natalia will be playing at home against Cotulla at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Cotulla is hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses. As for Crystal City, they will head out on the road to challenge Hondo at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Hondo comes in on four and Crystal City on five.
