The biggest upset of the week belonged to Royal Oak, who took down 437th ranked Royal Oak, 80-59.
Gabriel LaPean of Avondale ran for the longest rushing play in Oakland - Blue this season against Andover last week. LaPean ran for 67 yards on the play and finished with 82 on the day as his team topped the Barons.
TreyVonn Munson was the best wideout in the league this week as Avondale topped Andover. Munson tallied one reception for one yards.
Luke Dushaj made the biggest impact on defense this week as Steve Deutsch's team defeated Jim DeWald's team. The 6-foot-1 junior grabbed 1.0 sack.
Thanks to the talents of Spencer Smith and Joshuwa Holloman the Yellowjackets have been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Smith leads the league in passing with 762 yards, while Holloman has rushed for 576 yards this season. Ferndale's Desmond Paige leads the league in receiving yards with 256 on 17 catches.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Avondale takes on Lahser. The Yellowjackets are currently in second, while the Knights are in third.
Berkley moved up to 339 from 378 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Oakland - Blue. The Bears climbed the ranks as a result of a 24-14 win over Hazel Park.
