They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 71-45 walloping at the hands of Lehigh Valley Academy. Lehigh Christian Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-14.
Despite the loss, Lehigh Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Jacob Lewis, who scored 32 points along with six rebounds and three steals. That was a full 71.1% of Lehigh Christian Academy's points, marking the 12th time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Xavier Gross was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Leading Lehigh Valley Academy to victory were Joell McNeil and Christopher Hunt. McNeil scored 16 points, while Hunt scored 16 points along with five rebounds. That's the first time this season that Hunt scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Ziyon Wilkins, who scored ten points.
Lehigh Christian Academy dropped their record down to 3-9 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Lehigh Valley Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lehigh Christian Academy will take on Notre Dame-Green Pond at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Notre Dame-Green Pond knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four contests -- so hopefully Lehigh Christian Academy likes a good challenge. As for Lehigh Valley Academy, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Pleasant Valley at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th.
