The Catskill Cats were the 65-39 winner over the Hudson Blue Hawks when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Catskill fell just short of Hudson by a score of 45-42. Catskill has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Hudson was led to victory by Malia Jackson and Amya Moore. Jackson dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds, while Moore scored 18 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Jackson has scored at least 25% of Hudson's points.
Catskill's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Hudson, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Catskill will challenge Taconic Hills at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hudson, they will head out on the road to face off against Cairo-Durham at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
