Hanover-Horton waltzed into their contest on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Homer Trojans. This was payback for the Comets, who suffered a 13-5 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Aiden Zeffrey made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Zeffrey was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.
In other batting news, Cameron Sherwood was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
