Victory Christian Academy fell just short of Adullam House Christian Academy by a score of 51-49. Victory Christian Academy has not had much luck with Adullam House Christian Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Victory Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Chase Myrick scored 18 points along with six rebounds and five steals. The matchup was Myrick's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Easton Durden, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
Adullam House Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Thomas Buckelew led the charge by scoring 15 points along with seven rebounds. Shaun Taylor was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Victory Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Adullam House Christian Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Victory Christian Academy will take on Brooklane Baptist at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Brooklane Baptist knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past ten contests -- so hopefully Victory Christian Academy likes a good challenge. Adullam House Christian Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Glen Iris Baptist at 7:00 p.m. on December 14th.
