Basketball Recap: Oak Grove Classical Academy Comes Up Short

Oak Grove Classical Academy lost against Legacy Academy back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Oak Grove Classical Academy Owls took a hard 60-44 fall against the Legacy Academy Silverbacks.

Despite the loss, Oak Grove Classical Academy still got an impressive performance from Isaac Rush, who posted 18 points. Rush is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Brody Prochnow, who had nine points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Legacy Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bryant Scales, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. That's the most boards Scales has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Dallas Baca, who earned 12 points and four steals.

Oak Grove Classical Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Legacy Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oak Grove Classical Academy will venture away from home to face off against Menaul at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Oak Grove Classical Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58 points per game this season. Legacy Academy has already played their next match (against Dora), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
