Peck is a perfect 3-0 against Capac since April of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Pirates will take on the Chiefs. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.
On Wednesday, Peck made easy work of Deckerville and carried off an 11-2 victory. Considering the Pirates have won 15 contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Ryleigh Ureel was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, earning three runs.
In other batting news, Sydney Parker was incredible, firing off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. Madisyn Taylor was another key player, going 3-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Peck hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Capac). They blew past Cardinal Mooney Catholic 16-1 on Wednesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Chiefs needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.
The team relied heavily on Christina Howard, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Schocke, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Capac's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-15. As for Peck, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.
Capac's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Friday. Peck has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.2 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Capac, though, as they've been averaging only 1.8 strikeouts. Will Peck keep running through batters, or will the Chiefs buck the trend?
Everything went Peck's way against Capac when the teams last played on May 12th, as Peck made off with a 17-6 victory. Will the Pirates repeat their success, or do the Chiefs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
