Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Purvis

Purvis had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came out on top against the Forrest County Agricultural Aggies by a score of 8-4. That's more bragging rights for the Tornadoes, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Nash Teater made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Teater was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Hudson Walker, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Landrey Teater, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Purvis' record is now 7-2. As for Forrest County Agricultural, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Purvis will face off against Presbyterian Christian at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Forrest County Agricultural, they will square off against West Marion at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
