The Bisbee Pumas have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 23 points or more this season. They blew past St. David 76-53. That's another feather in the cap for Bisbee, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Bisbee got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Sebastian Lopez out in front who dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Lopez has scored at least 25% of Bisbee's points. Another player making a difference was Jose Mendez, who scored 23 points along with six steals.
Bisbee has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. As for St. David, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-12.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bisbee's road trip will continue as they head out to face Tombstone at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. As for St. David, they will challenge Desert Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
