The West Oso Bears pushed their score all the way to 56 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 64-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Jones. West Oso has not had much luck with Jones recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why West Oso lost, one person who can't be blamed is Devin Martinez. Despite the final result, he scored 23 points. Those 23 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Soto, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Even though they lost, West Oso were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
West Oso's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Jones, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Calhoun the next time they take the court. West Oso will head out to face Calhoun at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Jones will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
