Mather was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 63 yards. Andre Calderon was in the mix too, providing Bakersfield Christian with two touchdowns.
Bakersfield Christian's win was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 6-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.0 points per game. As for Independence, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.
