The Tonopah Muckers will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Indian Springs Thunderbirds at 6:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Tonopah sitting on three straight wins and Indian Springs on nine.
Tonopah scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. Everything went their way against Lone Pine as Tonopah made off with a 57-31 victory. The score was close at the half, but Tonopah pulled away in the second half with 33 points.
Meanwhile, Indian Springs earned a 40-30 victory over Laughlin on Tuesday. 40 seems to be a good number for Indian Springs as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Celina Pena and Oriyah Clay were among the main playmakers for Indian Springs as the former scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and six steals and the latter dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. Clay is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Ava Hill was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with two steals.
Tonopah has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Indian Springs, they pushed their record up to 12-2 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.
