Adding to the longest winning streak in Marine this week, Narbonne beat Carson 31-8. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
San Pedro took down Gardena 41-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Pete Palacios ran for 130 yards in the win.
Banning's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Gabe Ruiz threw for 158 and 2 touchdowns and Janson Navarrete had 86 yards receiving. On the ground Jacob Ortiz chipped in 244 yards. Ignacio Huizar helped Banning's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 66 yards.
Ortiz was a beast in the backfield as the Pilots beat George Washington Prep.
Ortiz was a passing and rushing force as Banning beat the Generals. Ortiz's key target this week was Navarrete, who caught 9 passes for 86 yards.
Ortiz was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 24 carries, he ran for 244 yards as John Aponte's team defeated George Washington Prep. Teammate Joe Gama added to the ground attack by rushing for 141 yards.
Banning's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Pilots feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Austin Mendoza has thrown for 1,343 yards and 12 touchdowns this season, while Navarrete has 63 catches for 630 yards.
